Table step – Table variable as data source

Table variables can contain 1 – n “lines” and thus also process 1 – n lines of an SAP table.
When controlled via line number, the line number of the table corresponds to that of the SAP table.

Change data source in table step to table variable:

  1. Edit the table step via the “Edit step” button.
  2. Change the “Data source” in the table step to “Table variable” via the drop down menu.
  3. The suxxesso Test Pilot automatically suggests a name for the table variable. Optionally assign a variable name for a new table variable or select an existing table variable.
  4. The individual rows are automatically combined and the fixed values are replaced by variables.
  5. Optionally make changes.
  6. Confirm the step by clicking the “Apply” button.

Possible actions in the table step:

  • Add table column: Button “+Column” (selection of the column in the active SAP window).
  • Delete table column: Button “Remove column”
  • Change operators for table columns: Button “Select operation”
  • Use variables or fixed values

An additional selection can be used to control the following options in the table step:

  • Ignore selection
  • Check row selected
  • Check row not selected
  • Select row
  • Deselect row

Remark:
Changing the data source to “table variable” is only possible if the line numbers exist correctly in ascending order in the original step.
Variables that are newly created in a table step with table variable are automatically assigned as sub-variables of the table variable.
If you want to use a “classic” variable for a column in a table step with table variable, this variable must already have been created.
The screen scaling must be set to 100% to ensure a problem-free control of the elements in the SAP window during the “live detection” (the red frame).

The combination of data source “Table variable” and “Determine rows by key column – xxx” is also possible. In this case, for each “row” of the table variable, a specific row of the SAP table defined via key columns is triggered.
