Set field

1. If necessary, position the recording bar at the desired location. See also Test Case – Editing / Position recording bar.
2. Click on the recording bar and select the “Set field” function.
3. Select a text field or a checkbox in the opened SAP window by mouse click (the selection is automatically marked by a red frame). The values of the selected field/checkbox are automatically transferred to the dialog window.
4. The “Select operation” button can be used to select the various operations for the field:
   • Set value: Set fixed value
   • Set variable: Set value of a variable
   • Set value/variable if present: Set fixed value/value of a variable if it exists.
   • Clear: Clear screen field
5. Via the switch “Keep dialog open for further step” several manual steps can be inserted without closing the window in the meantime.
6. Apply your entries with the button “Insert”.

Remark:
The screen scaling must be set to 100% to ensure a smooth control of the elements in the SAP window during the “Live detection” (the red frame).
