Record test case

To start a recording, you must be connected to an SAP session (SAP GUI or Web). See also User Interface / Connect / link to SAP-Session.

1. Click the “Start recording” button.
2. The suxxesso Test Pilot now automatically records all SAP activities while you go through your process in the SAP system.
3. When automating SAP GUI processes, screenshots are automatically taken during server communication and stored in the recording script.
4. If the suxxesso Test Pilot is in recording mode, the “Pause recording” button in the toolbar is activated. You can pause/stop and resume your recordings at any time.

Additional steps can be added to a recording at any time.

You have 2 options for this:

1. Use “Drag & Drop” to drag the recording bar to the desired position in the recording and start the recording with the “Start Recording” button.
2. Right-click on a test step and select the “Record after this step” function in the context menu: the recording bar is positioned behind the selected test step and at the same time the suxxesso Test Pilot is set to recording mode.

Remark:
To be able to record Web Dynpro applications, the following preparations must be made:

• Create, if not already present, a directory “suxxesso” under c:\ProgramData.
• If it does not already exist, save a file “InstallConfig.yml” in this directory.
• Add the entry “WebDynPro: true” to this file.
• Restart the suxxesso Test Pilot.
