Parameters – Variable mapping

User-defined parameters can be specified directly in the variable mapping:

Predefined parameters cannot be specified. If you still want to use such a parameter in the variable mapping, it can be passed on:

Attention:

• If there are neither queries nor constant iterations in a test case, the initial values from the test case are always used for test case execution. The mapping of any parameters is not taken into account. There are 2 ways to circumvent this restriction:
  • By using a pseudo-query (e.g. query of the current date)
  • By entering a constant iteration that refers to a test case or workspace parameter via an implicit parameter.
• If constant iterations are used, the value from the constant iteration is always taken, not the parameter value!
  Exception: The parameter is entered as an implicit parameter in the constant iteration.
