Constant iterations – General

Constant iterations can be defined independently of queries in the result area. If a name is assigned to a result column in the variable mapping, it will immediately appear in the constant iterations.

In the Test Cockpit, it is possible to select at the test case whether the constant iterations should be taken into account during execution of the test plan.

Add row:

New result rows can be added using the “Add row” button or the “Alt+Insert” key combination. If a column is mapped to a table variable, its rows can be entered by clicking on the blue highlighted link. Other values can be entered directly into the respective cell.

In constant iterations, reference can also be made to parameters. Thus, the values of the constant iteration for the test case execution can be controlled by these parameters.

Export / Import:

Values can be exported to or imported from an Excel file by clicking on the export or import button. For more information see Constant Iterations – Import / Export.

Actions:

The actions column offers the following functions

• Replay iteration – replays the test case with the values of the corresponding row
• Remove iteration – removes the line from the constant iterations

Remark:
Constant iterations and dynamic queries cannot be combined, i.e. it is not possible, for example, to read out the current date via a ClientQuery and use it in the constant iteration.
